How long can I have temporary car insurance?

 Coverage can last anywhere from one hour up to 30 days.

How far in advance can I purchase it?
You can buy it anytime—there’s no advance purchase limit.

Are there any eligibility requirements?
If you qualify for Next Step  Car Insurance, you’re generally eligible for Next Step  Temporary Car Insurance as well. Some restrictions may apply.

Is the cover fully comprehensive?
Yes. You also have the choice of third party, fire and theft, or third party only coverage.

Is there a compulsory excess?
The excess amount is confirmed when you receive your quote and may vary depending on the driver.

What if my vehicle needs recovery?
